Well, today we had our symposium and it was the official last day of class. There were eight French researchers who presented their archeological and anthropological data on a wide variety of subjects. Overall, pretty interesting...with the possible exception of it being kind of boring. I mean, it's all great, and I love how they're all just absolutely enthralled with what the research, but I just feel like...I don't know. I guess I just don't care as much as they do, which is okay.
I got off the metro a few stops early today and walked the rest of the way home. I love that crisp feeling in the air when you can tell winter is trying to push its way through. I passed the cutest little bakery and got what was quite possibly THE BEST eclair I have ever had in my whole life. Chocolate filling, oh my freaking goodness. I know absolutely nothing about baking or food in general, but man. This is was stinkin good. I might have taken a photo had I not eaten it so quickly. Guess I'll just have to go back. What a bummer.
No class tomorrow, so I get to sleep in!! I'll be spending the rest of the day probably packing for my week long trip. Oh my goodness. I'm getting more nervous, but also more excited as the date approaches. I think mostly I'm just scared time is going to go by too quickly. It's so strange because part of me wishes it would, so I could go home to the people (and animals [and city]!!) that I love, but part of me wishes I could stay here forever. I know when I get home, I'm going to feel like time just flew by, because I already feel that way now. Two classes, done? I remember when I first got here like it was yesterday. It's truly the strangest thing. But, alas, onward we press!
