Yeah, so I totally forgot today was Halloween. I can't say I missed seeing everyone in costume. Sure, kids and clever costumes are cute, but for the most part, it's just annoying :/
My alarm went off at 06h this morning, and I remember setting it to 06h30, but I'm not sure what happened because the next thing I knew, I was looking at the clock and it was 08h25. It sure was nice to get an extra two hours of sleep, but man, I was supposed to leave early today. As I mentioned, my normal line is closed, so my alternative route takes a bit longer. I threw on some clothes and rushed out the door. That meant I had to buy my lunch today--but on the bright side, I got the pasta that I really like.
We covered molecular and chromosomal analysis of evolution in class today, and it reminded me of how much I love all things molecular :) I'm kind of excited for my presentation for Wednesday because I get to talk about the molecular basis for the adaptive radiation of lemurs and lorisids...or...something like that. I should probably get started considering it's supposed to be a 15 minutes presentation and I have to base my paper off of it. Yay.
But! Tomorrow is La Toussaint, or, All Saint's Day. Here, it's a national holiday so there's no classes! I think we're going to see the catacombs. I've heard conflicting opinions, ranging from "It's disgusting and not worth the time," to "I wouldn't miss it for anything." So, I guess time will tell! :D
